Trick Box follows a young 16-year-old black boy who is carrying the responsibilities of a grown man taking care of his family—until he can’t. Trey, a good student at school, lives with his drug addicted mother and his two younger brothers. His mother cannot take care of her children due to her addiction; Trey carries this burden. Confrontations between Trey and his mother ensue that could change Trey’s life forever.
