Malcolm, an ex-rockstar, botches a pawn shop robbery and loses his guitar as collateral trying to get money to fix his tooth. He ultimately gets involved with a shady dentist in order fix it, and ends up waking up in a trunk after an overdose. The dentist, as recompense, helps him use a medical database to help locate his his estranged father who give him money and helps him settle his debts.
