This is the rescue that closes our first season. In the Season 1 finale of Street Rescue, Joanna meets Tank and Nube, a powerful brother-and-sister duo whose lives began in violence, neglect, and exploitation. Scarred by abuse and nearly sold on the streets of Los Angeles, their story could have ended very differently. But John stepped in. Living with his own physical challenges, John refused to let Tank and Nube be mistreated or separated. He rescued them from an abusive situation, kept them together, and gave them something they had never known before: patience, protection, and love. Now, after years of waiting, Tank finally receives the medical care he desperately needs, including surgery, vaccines, and treatment for painful, infected ear wounds caused by cruel cropping.
